 I wish I had some sort of filter or screen between the turbo and intake.  A broken compressor blade would ruin your day. 

        I've got one. I call it an intercooler. Seriously though, I doubt anything will get through cooling tubes and it would take allot of debris to completely plug it.

Must be nice to have all that room in the RV-9 cowl :-)  I’m not running an intercooler, since I don’t plan to boost with the exception of cruise altitudes.  At altitude, it will be freezing cold, so the intake air shouldn’t be all that hot even with some boost.  Tracy’s EM-2 has an air temp input for the intake, so I’ll be planning to monitor the temp.  Aren’t you getting an EM-2 as well?  It will be interesting to compare temps, though to be fair, you’ll have to measure in the Summer, and I’ll measure in the Winter to make up for the change of latitude :-)
