Rusty: spray brake cleaner is varsol (debusol), whatever, so probably a lot less harsh thatn castrol super clean and does evaporate clean; but, do not know the harsh question answer for sure. Most glass folks make some prep compound/solution just for this kind of wipe down, though.

A good substitute is brake clean which is available at any auto parts store for a couple of bucks a can.  
 
I've used this before, but would worry that it might be a bit harsh for fiberglass.
