I assume it was their 304 ss model? My 304 Flowmaster is = working great but of course it has a 200 HP cooling fan on it : ) It'll = be interesting to hear how yours works. I would definitely put some = thin (.005 - .010) stainless between FW and muffler. Maybe a thin bit = of fiberfrax sandwiched between as well. This is for pilot comfort as = well as to keep the FW from wrinkling with heat expansion. I'm still = not happy with how much heat comes through my FW. Tracy (scheduled to return to travel trailer renovation hell tomorrow) Tracy - I ordered a spintech muffler this morning. They have a 2 1/2 = x 9 x=20 16" model. Their 321 s/s models however run $350, so I stuck with a = steel=20 one($129), figuring it's life span probably will be short until some = design=20 changes obsoletes it. I hope to keep mine within the cowling, so = aerodynamic=20 shape doesn't play a big role. The thinness actually should help cool = it=20 better and I plan to blow oil cooler air over it and out the side. How's tha trailer remodel business? Watch out for that spray=20 insulation, you ususally have to just cut it out of your hair it's so = damn=20 sticky.
