The = wastegate on the stock turbo is internal, so removing it would involve some cutting = of the turbo housing. I doubt that would be worth doing. My cable is = already run, so I'll go ahead and use it, though I can always just leave it = closed if that's what I wish. Even with it open, I bet it will overboost, so = I'll be reducing the throttle to save the turbo anyway. With my setup, I can = try it open, closed, or anywhere in between, so maybe in a few months I can = tell you exactly how it behaves.
