The major problem with the IVO and Lyc engine combo is the heavy power pulses.  It uses separate blades clamped between plates and the heavy low frequency pulses WILL cause the blades to become loose.  (IVO will no longer sell for installation on any four cylinder aircraft engine)

Use of the IVO with the rotary should not pose a problem as the power pulses overlap and at a much higher frequency.

Tracy used an IVO and as far as I know, the only reason he stopped using it was due to the performance.  According to Tracy the IVO climbs like mad but does not perform well over 150 mph.

Does anyone have any experience or opinions using an IVO Magnum Inflight Adjustable prop with a rotary?  I am considering the IVO for use with my Velocity / Renesis and would appreciate any coments.

Thanks,
Joe

Joe, don't know how the IVO prop is with the rotary engine, but it definitely is not recommended for a Velocity (or any pusher) with a Lyc. engine.  I suspect that the wing turbulence is too much for the IVO prop. A Velocity crashed and lost the whole family a while back using the IVO prop if I correctly remember.  My 2 cents.
