I saw Harold run this engine in the early ' 70s at Oshkosh.  He was very enthusiastic about the rotary at the time.  I believe his passing was announced in Sport Aviation quite a few years ago.  He was a true experimenter.

These pics, and the text below were sent to me by a guy on the Kolb list.  Zoom up the second pic and read the description of the engine.  Sounds pretty interesting, if not amazing.

Here's a pix of a homemade 2 rotor wankel, made from the original '64 NSU Spider single rotors. I use to have three Spiders and the 2 rotor NSU RO 80 delux sedan.

This old guy, who probably is long gone, corresponded with me in early 70s, think his name was Harold Gallatin, WI somewhere. The other pix is shot of back of pix.
