Subject: [FlyRotary] radiators

in designing a radiator is there much difference between a say 4" core versus two 2" cores side by side?  would a gap between them be beneficial or harmful?  would it make any sense to open up the gaps if I used two radiators to say 1/8" spacing on the second core?  let's hear it for seat-of-the-pants aerodynamics!   kevin

I assume you are saying the rads are one in front of the other.  That ought to work fine Kevin.  It should even be better than a single thick rad since you can plumb them "back to front" to keep the differential temps closest to optimum.  (i.e., hot water in to rear rad & cooled water out the front rad.) There is a slight weight disadvantage doing it this way but no big deal.
