And shortly after that, Bill Eslick won an Outstanding Aircraft award (Beautiful plane Bill!) and I won the Sun 100 race (category 8) at 209 mph.
Still later, Paul Lamar handed over the $500 Everett Hatch memorial award for the first rotary powered aircraft to crack 200 mph in a sanctioned race of at least 100 miles.
It was a great week!
