By the way, Rusty if you have 3/4" of good threads, then
you really don't need to expoy the fitting in. A large soft aluminum
washer has sealed my AN16 adapter into the pump inlet just
fine.
On further inspection, the threads were a bit shallow on one
side, but the fitting tightened up OK. As added insurance, I used the JB
Weld (first time I've ever used this stuff), and it came
out great. I'll be keeping a close eye on it, but I'm betting it
would take a hack saw to get it off :-)
