The PCV Technologies adapter uses the stock metering pump. The controversy is whether or not the ratio is low enough since some believe the stock ratio starves the chamber of oil. Since stock uses crankcase oil, it is believed that mazda had to starve the seals of oil to avoid excessive carbon buildup. Maybe feeding the cleaner burning 2 stroke oil in the same ratio provides better lubrication anyhow? I don't know. I believe that Atkins uses the crankcase oil, not sure what type of oil though. Dan
