Lynn,

The instructions provided with the Master Rebuild kit with the special 2
piece aftermarket seals have the following instructions, quoted directly:

"1) the tips are long enough to allow them to stay in place during
assembly, without having to be glued together like the stock seals."

Do not ignore Lynn's advice.  It is true that an experienced engine builder can assemble without gluing the apex seal pieces together.  But. If you are launching the corner pieces all over the shop -  USE THE GLUE!.

Well... I guess I will use that one for the next rebuild.. unless THIS one comes back apart.. I guess thats good advice for the next novice builder who does it themselves. Getting them in place ended up not being a BIG hassle (other than having to chase two down.. <grin>) but looking back I guess I should have considered it. Maybe it would be a good idea (HINT HINT) to toss a small tube of glue into the rebuild kit... oh wait.. Bruce doesnt read this site..
