There is a vendor on Ebay that always has RX-8 (and RX-7) stuff for sale. Here is an RX-8 manual listing:

I bought the previous one this person had on Ebay for $20.45, but I suspect I caught it just right. If you are patient, perhaps you will get one at a good price too. It is the genuine Mazda shop manual (or at least a very high-quality copy). It has 50 pages and is quite thorough.

It lists "SSTs" (Special Service Tools) required, but, of course, does not give any hint on how to fashion the tool. A prime example is the engine stand "hanger" plate (49 J010 3A0A). Looks pretty easy to make, if you had the dimensions. :^)
