Hi Leon,
     Thanks for the information.  Using the internet I was able to finally
find out what I was looking for, it is a Mitsubish starter and it is M1T
rather than MIT for a prefix.  I still don't know which year Mazda (if ever
used on a Mazda), but I know have a Delco Remy part number for it.  I just
wanted to be able to order the right part, so that my starter bolt holes
would match, should this one ever fail.
