Hi All
I've been lurking in the back ground for a
few months now, and I must congratulate you all. Its good to see so many like
minded people sharing experience. At the moment I have been working on my 13B
turbo S5, finally starting to look like something from an aircraft. I'm building
an RV7 QB it should be shipped from vans early next month. I'm an aircraft
sheetie with Qantas airlines down here in OZ, so progress on empenage was
quick, (2 weeks to complete ). Having my manifold welded at the moment,
water pump next witch leeds me to my question that I hope someone can answer.
The gallery that connects the inlet and outlet inside the water pump
casting just below the thermostat, should this be blocked if not
running a thermostat. I could be wrong and probably are but with this open
wouldn't the water take the route of least resistance and recirculate back
through the engine. By the way I work just a few minutes from ATS Turbonetics
and will be taking to them soon to mod the turbo so ill let you know what they
say.
Cheers.
Mick. ( go for gold aussies)
