Just finished getting all the acessories off the
'91 13B I purchased. Did not get a chance to open the engine yet (I think
I should get a book first). While striping the engine I found that the
forward (toward the pulley end) oil injector had been didsabled by melting the
end of the tubing closed. Looking into the exhaust ports, it looks like I
may have a scored rotor housing (guess which one).
I also found that part of the end housing where the
bellhousing goes in broken away on the plug side. Will this cause any
problems?
The oil cooler that was included in the purchase
was damaged in transit and may not be usable.
What parts that I striped from the engine do I need
to keep? Should I take the side housings (6 port) to MazdaTrix for
street porting?
Thanks for any help you can give.
