Thanks for the info.  I would like to keep it all AN fittings since it will be in the cockpit.  You wouldn't happen to have part numbers or make and model of the filters.  I could try to go into an autoparts store but they aren't always friendly with R&D requests. :)

Here's an entry from my builders log that might help. 
 

Decided on a fuel filter finally.  Found out that you can buy the standard Chevy EFI filter for about $6 in any brand, and at any auto parts store.  It has an odd metric thread on the ends that's 16mm x 1.5p, but there’s an AN adapter made for it.  Earls part number for the adapter is 991955.  The filter is- AC Delco # GF481, Purolator # F33144.
