I helped install a set of teflon hinge pins on a 235 with slop in several hinges.  The owner supplied the material, so I don't know the specifics. The installation was quick, and appeared to be tight, but didn't last over 50 hrs.  It's a good quick fix but not a lasting one.  Maybe on a new installation it would work better ??
I've noticed that a particular hinge seems to get sloppy before any of the others, like the left outboard elevator hinge. I replaced mine and noticed the hum of a flutter disappeared. Anybody else have a similiar experience ??   I've seen some Lancairs at the Arlington Show with a LOT of control/hinge "slop".  At our speeds a bit of flutter is not to be taken lightly.  Off the Soap Box, and regards to all..
