I suppose I could remove the elevator top skins, build up the ribs and begin again, or I could fill in the depression with micro and achieve a straight surface and suffer with the added weight penalty at the ass end of my plane. Any suggestions appreciated. Angier Ames >> Angier, Be VERY careful about adding weight to the elevators aft of the hinge line. This can affect the flutter characteristics of the flying surfaces. The difficult thing about flutter is that you won't find out about it until you are in a high speed situation - you get flutter for just a second and then your tail is gone. I'm guessing the LNC2 manual lists elevator weight and hinge balance limits. If not, you might want to contact the factory about proper limits.
