For wiring from strobe electronics to the flash bulbs I would suggest
using sheilded wire. Sheilded teflon high voltage coaxial cable to be more
precise.

dont use the outer conductor for any connection other that the flash bulb.
i.e. dont connect the nav light ground via this conductor...run a seperate
gnd wire for the nav lights. and try to avoid loopy connections at either
end.  then the fast pulse of current travelling out the inner conductor to
the bulb will be forced to return on the outer conductor. the inner wire
and the cylindrical outer conductor will then make electric and magnetic
fields that precisely cancel each other (OUTSIDE the cable they cancel).
that guarantees that the wiring wont radiate.  properly connected coaxes
can be laid right next to each other with only the very tiniest of
coupling.

this will a make much greater improvement in strobe noise pickup than
trying to get the strobe wiring at right angles to the panel wiring.

ps This is my first post to lml.

congratulations on one of the best sites on the web. chocked full
of facts, reasoned arguements.  relatively rant-free.
