Tom & Lorraine Zedaker's IVP appears to be in the running for top honors in the judging, but I think the announcement comes near or on the weekend so we'll have to wait to learn the outcome. Engineair Power Systems (formerly Engineair) was on hand with a working 440HP V8 water cooled engine (we actually ran it periodically), a cutaway PSRU and prop. The PSRU and prop were mounted on the engine but disconnected and run at a slow RPM by an electric motor. Doug Pohl, the president of the EPS board of managers, announced at the Lancair banquet the good news that EPS has purchased rights to the Engineair power package and is building engines for Lancair IV's. There was lots of interest in the display and in a data filled brochure that was distributed at the booth. EPS will be delivering engines to new customers on a 6 month lead time - first orders will be filled near the end of this year. By the way - it was a pleasure and an honor to finally meet our benefactor, Marvin Kaye. He was there working the booth for Jim Frantz's great product, the AOA indicator. Thanks a million for all the great work you do for the Lancair family, Marvin.
