you're obviously correct about Hysol being the name of the company - not
the product, but since Lancair sells and recommends Hysol 9339, that's
usually understood, although not technically correct (complete)..
There are numerous hi peel strength adhesives made by Hysol and others. The
ones made for aerospace - like 9339 - are made to stricter properties than
the non aerospace and they all start (if I recall) with the numeral 9 in
their designation. There are some others for the marine market and general
markets that have similar properties as well. I have tried some sample
alternatives from Hysol and have been very impressed with the results. All
were aerospace so no savings was contemplated, but I think with testing,
you'd find that the lower cost ones would be just as good, if the peel
strengths are the same.

Have a look at the above site. Hysol is a trade name and not a specific
product. The product line of Hysol includes epoxies.
