Guys, if I was confused before I am really away with the fairies now!  All
these posts on the esoteric question of where to put the datum for the
calculation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My problem is that I do not know what to do with the MAC measurement of 11%
to 29%.  How do I convert that to a number that will compare to the number I
arrive at after I have done the empty C of G position. In other words what
is 11% and 29% expressed as a distance from FS 0?

The manual in chapter 20 page 4 Item 13 gives the CofG range as FS24.5 to
FS30.3 where (the datum is the rear of the spinner and) FS 0 is the aft side
of the fire wall.  What are the new figures after the weight change? I know
the range was increased.

Where the datum is, for the purpose of calculations, will not affect the
CofG range which is expressed as a distance from FS 0.  Only the sign of the
numbers used in the calculation  may change.

So what is the CofG range expressed in inches as a distance from FS 0?  Some
of you guys must have used this figure on your own aircraft.

Regards

Ian Crowe
