The calculations you do for CG utilizes a term for "arm" which is measured from any datum you chose (could even be 10 feet or SNIP ,,,Dan Schaefer< Think Marv was warning about the danger of some not realizing that the datum line distance for one aircraft behind the spinner may be different than another aircraft 'behind the spinner' location, and making some assumptions re location of equipment etc without actually figuring the real number out.
