Warning!  Warning!  Warning!  Etc.

The North Central Lancair Fly-in (23/24 June 2001) is about to begin.  Situated at the Joliet, Illinois airport (KJOT on your GPS), the festivities open on Saturday morning with the confirmed arrival intent of 15 to 20 Lancairs of all shapes and sizes. Current builders will be arriving in all manner of "transports", only temporary devices until they can get their very own, custom built, high speed geographic relocator aloft and screaming through the ether.  A great deal of jaw flapping, back slapping and other Lancair-peculiar behavior will be demonstrated.

1-2 pm will be devoted to a special slide enhanced presentation, by Carsten, on the Legacy.  Those not attending will probably be found drooling over Carsten's Legacy or Doug McCalister's IV-P.

2-3 pm (or thereabouts) will be a gathering of experts and novices alike for a spirited exchange resolving Lancair building and flying questions thru the use of fact, heresay, opinion and, perhaps, engendering frustration leading to displays of the widely known gesture signifying the unity of birdmen.

This is only a few of the many exciting events planned for Saturday and Sunday, including 2 days of beautiful weather forecast by the terrorist wing of the NOAA, the NWS (check it out at http://www.nws.noaa.gov/).

Remember, bring your Lancair if you can!  No excuses will be accepted for failure to attend.
