That's a good question. In fact, I believe the stroke is only around 4" on
that jack. The top extends up via a threaded shaft and that extension plus
the stroke = 7".
I only use about 2 - 3" of stroke on my 320 wing jacks but the 320 doesn't
have oleo struts that need to extend as the plane is lifted. I'm sure my
Legacy will need more than a 2 - 3" stroke. I believe my wing jacks have
about 6 - 7" of stroke.
