Speaking of lightning strikes, what's the expected survival of a composite  
carbon fiber airplane?  How is a carbon fiber composite airplane different
from a carbon composition resistor?  What's to prevent the lightning current
from heating a carbon fiber airplane until it explodes?  I'm curious to hear
scientific data, opinions, or even scurlious rumors on this topic.
