Bill,
My engine mount on my 182 was powder coated at overhaul on the advice
of the mechanic. They did not seem the slightest concerned and seemed to
routinely
get them powder coated. They also did not make any money on it as they
left the actual
arranging and transportation all up to me.
It has been 4 or 5 years (300 hours) and there is not a scratch or rust
spot
on it. Before that every annual involved some sanding and painting in
places
that are not easy to get at. ( I can't even imagine a turbo)
On the 182 any rust pit deep enough scraps the mount.
The engine mount is steel which (obvoiusly) is different than the aluminum
parts previously
mentioned.
