Gary,
I have a 4 inch pipe welded about 3 inches below the bottom bolt attach
points on a 360 engine mount. The pipe rested in another pipe about 4 1/2
inch ID. This sat upon a stanchion bolted to the floor. This permitted
the entire fuselage to spin in my 9 ft. garage with an inch or so to spare.
No fancy cogs, or ratchets, just a big blob of grease between the tubes.
Absolutely great especially for body work. It saved my back for $150 in
parts and welding. Does anybody want it?
I supported the tail forward of the empenage. You could just as easily make
a wheel or disc assembly attaching at the rudder attach points.
