There can be a slight difference in initial burn rate because of the total spark energy, but at normal (not extremely lean) mixtures the difference is not significant. Even if there is a difference, it manifests itself in less lag from the spark to peak pressure, not in any "more complete combustion." I would guess, based on experience that a "hotter" spark might reduce the advance requirement by 1 degree. With two plugs there won't be much difference. After the fire is lit it will go to completion regardless of how hot the spark was. When I look at the results (lower EGT's, higher CHT's) it looks exactly like running the engine with more advance and that's what I suspect they are doing. No magic.
