I've been perplexed by the = signs that get posted to my messages on the
mail-list. As you know I am using Compuserve. I finally got around to
asking the Compuserve e-mail sysop guy what is going on. Here is what he
said:
<There is nothing you can do at your end about this. Your messages are sent
as mime quoted-printable and the =20 signs that appear in the text indicate
the line endings. Because the mailing list software is out of date (or
because they are stripping the mime headers of the messages to put them
into some sort of digest) these codes are not being interpreted correctly.>
Just though I would pass this onto you. Is it the hardware or is it the
software? Ah, that age old question. Where doest the finger point?
