I located the micro switch for the AOA on the flap actuator arm.  A bracket
attached to the gear box close to the swivel point and molding the arm of
the micro switch to the curve of the arm such that when the flap is up the
micro switch closes and when it is deployed about 10% it is open. It has
been working great for a year now with no false indications.  A simple
mechanical indication of the position of the flap seems to me to be a good
way to go.  The AOA is a great instrument and I am learning to rely on it
the more I fly with it.
