As far as I'm concerned, the installation manuals are clear and concise. I have no formal education in electronics/avionics but am able to read and comprehend...this, together with a healthy dose of common sense is enough for me to move ahead with confidence with this part of my project. I specifically rejected Garmin since I elected to do my own install. As far as my local FSDO is concerned, they will require my GX60 work to be checked out by my local avionics shop.
