Curtis,
Playing devils advocate, would all of your family feel the same and not go
after all the manufactures involved with the subcontracting to you their
equipment to take out their anger in loosing you? I have a family that
brought me up to take responsibility for everything that I do, but I cannot
say for sure what would happen when I'm gone. If a jury hears that the
equipment was checked out by an avionics shop with hundreds of installs
without any other problems, they may be swayed in the manufacturers favor.
Also, if the manufacturers sell directly to you, they also are abliged to
sell directly to someone else that can't even program their VCR. I feel the
same way as you, but know that "they" have reasons other than screwing
potential customers. Hopefully there will continue to be other channels,
though maybe not as good, for the consumers to take to get what makes them
happy.

L320 ~70% and trying real hard not to think about buying avionics.
