Do you really think that one little voice like mine can bring down an entire company's reputation?? I think that Garmin has more confidence in their product than that. I have more confidence in their product than that. There is no amount of b*tching or yelling or screaming or slamming on the aviation sites that I could do to ever put a dent in Garmin's reputation. Would I be willing to spend $75 every time I needed technical assistance? I pay $250 everytime I talk to Microsoft about their kludgey software....so yes.... $75 would be a welcome change. Would I be willing to pay for the retun of the system if I couldn't get it to work? You bet! Will you be willing to sign and abide by an agreement that bars you from making any negative comments about Garmin in case the system does not work as expected or if the whole installation turns out to be nightmare? NOT IN YOUR LIFETIME OR MINE! Nothing could force me to give up the kind of freedom which I fought for after serving my country for a number of years. Not on my watch!! Garmin and other companies who follow the policy of "we gotta install it or else" are not providing a service, they are hiding from it. If it were my decision to install a Garmin 430/530 and I had to pay for tech support....then I for one would be happy to do that. 'Nuff said. Curtis N753K "Hamid A.
