Details of installation: Lycoming IO-360, turbocharged (oil cooled turbo) single Positech 4215 oil cooler ducted from baffle behind #3 cylinder, vented to open area behind engine Engine plenum configuration I have experienced oil temperatures that are TOO hot, even on cold days. I have just completed a modification to the oil cooler setup that I hope will improve oil temps. Modifications include dedicated 3" NACA duct air inlet to a larger (Positech 4219) oil cooler. NACA is on copilot side, about 2" below the junction from upper to lower cowl. Also has a dedicated outlet that is the reverse louvered gills on the upper cowl. I'll post how it works (or doesn't work) after it has flown...
