When I built my 360 I used WLS primer Lancair provided. It worked fine, and the paint job is holding up well (9 years) and at the time I didn't think it was hard to sand. UNTIL upon building my Lancair ES,a friend of mine told me about FLIGHT GLOSS system from POLY-FIBER in Riverside California.(sounds like an advertisement doesn't it ?) Smooth prime is a waterborne urethane. It will not shrink, and it stays extremely flexible. They have a complete system, with topcoat paints. It has UV blockers in the system. I had quite a conversation with one of the owners, and he knows of the problems in the past of shrinking,He claims in no way will his shrink. I have primed about half of my ES. You roll on about 6 coats and sand. It works great, and does a good job of filling pin holes. And it is VERY easy to sand. Address is Poly-Fiber,Inc P.O.Box 3129 Riverside,Ca 92519 PH# 800-362 3490 I hope this helps.
