I had to replace all of my nylaflow lines with new nylaflow---because I
had destroyed the original lines with cleaning solutions including
acetone.  You all know that some chemicals attack nylaflow and I didn't
appreciate just how fast acetone will dissolve nylaflow.  Further,
acetone does make nylaflow both brittle and filled with weep holes in a
single application.

Be careful of the cleaning solutions you use around nylaflow and also be
darn sure that your aircraft painter knows of nylaflow's sensitivities
to caustic chemicals because that painter may destroy the brakes lines
trying to get his about-to-be painted surfaces stripped or cleaned.

It's too bad that nylaflow can't be coated with a barrier protective
material.  Nylaflow is inexpensive, flexible, light weight, strong, easy
to work with.  Running from pedal to caliper, it eliminates many joints,
unions and other connecting hardware and seems to be an almost ideal
brake line material.  Greg Nelson
