I guess I found Lance's button.  After rereading my post I realized that it
could be taken the wrong way, which it apparently was. Sorry Lance, I had no
intention of offending.

While it is true that there have not been any accidents attributed to the
Nylaflow brake lines, they have not been trouble free. Manual revisions and
a SB (SB037-797) have addressed problems with this tubing. Most problems are
the result of abuse and improper handling.

During the construction of N170BR I made may modifications, most of which I
brought to the attention of the factory along with any errors I found in the
manuals. Some of the modifications I made did end up as standard practice.
Perhaps because I was the first to suggest them or perhaps I was one among
many.

My motivation is to build and operate a better, safer airplane. A motivation
shared by everyone on this list. A design review process invariable results
in someone getting pissed off. It is not an objective but it just seems to
happen.

I have a lot of respect for ALL the Lancair employees (yes, even you Don ;).
I have told anyone that asks that they are an exceptional group to deal with
and they have a superior product. I apologize if I have offended any of
them. It was not my intent.

Regards
Brent Regan
