Quite correct, the sniffle valve is not a part of the IO-550 installation as
delivered, but we of course can install one. I would think that if it is a
required item for the engine that TCM would provide it. I didn't like
running without the sniffle, since during priming and after shut-down a
substantial amount of fuel can drain out of the lines, and a restrictor
fitting may not allow enough drainage, fast enough.
