The classical source for oil cooler air in the LNC2 is the baffle behind the
#3 cylinder on the passenger side of the engine. A length of 3 inch SCAT
tube travels across the firewall to an oil cooler plenum on the pilot side.
It appears to me that I can successfully route 3 inch SCAT tube from the
baffle behind the #2 cylinder on the pilot side. There is a 90 degree bend
downwards, then a 90 degree bend rearwards, with the SCAT tube just fitting
under the engine mount tubing (long mount). The oil cooler is down rather
low but I don't think that matters.
I have very little of the firewall forward stuff installed, so if there's a
glaring interference problem (or other problem) with this approach I'd like
to hear about it before I do something stupid.
