FWIW re: Temperfoam and the amount needed to sit comfortably for hours.

First, you've got to know that the stuff is *Heavy!*, second, in my 235,
I've been sitting on a one inch thickness of the green (highest density)
Temperfoam, inside a wool cover for 600+ hours and I never bottom out (I
weigh 160). It takes several minutes for it to warm to my butt's temperature
and conform, but for the additional weight of the extra layers of graduated
densities, I don't believe much if anything is gained in comfort.

At first, I had planned to add layers if I found it to be needed but I
didn't find that to be the case. Even my ex partner, who weighed in at 200
lbs (on good days) never found the need. Everyone, to a person who has had
occasion to ride in N235SP for extended legs, remarked on how comfortable
the seats were. I must say that some were quite skeptical at first but
quickly changed their minds after sitting on the stuff for a while.

So, for certain, use Temperfoam or it's equivalent but think twice about
gilding the lily, as it were, you can save a few bucks and several
unnecessary pounds in your Lancair.
