Bob Pastusek -
My understanding on this was that you only needed the "Fru Fru Duster" if
your cables were already in place. Dick Simkanin's (Arrow Plastics CEO and,
I believe, a Lancair builder as well) instructions to me when I bought teflon
powder from him were to put the teflon powder in a rag and work it into the
cables by hand prior to installation. This is what I intended to do (not
there yet though most cable guides are installed) and therefore I'm not sure
that you or I need the duster.
I have also soaked my cables in methylene chloride to remove the lubrication
it comes with from the supplier. (By the way, don't pour dirty MC on your
lawn or the spot will turn brown very quickly and take several months to
regenerate...)
I'm posting this in hopes that any misunderstandings on this issue can be
corrected.
