You miss a very practical point about oil filter relocation.
I am unaware of any way to change the oil filter on the back of an engine
without getting gobs of oil down the back of the engine.
My remote Oberg filter (automotive - before the airplane people found the
design) can be cleaned without a drop getting inside the engine compartment.
