Rob,
    I had a partner in a Cherokee 6 with one arm.  His good arm was on the right
so he could fly from the left seat.  As I remember, he was awfully busy on
approach with hand darting to adjust power, flaps etc.  Obviously, he had to keep
the trim adjusted so that the plane didn't assume a life of its own, but he did a
good job of it.
