[Rob, in most places where I had to bolt
something thru a hollow, or foam
cored, part of the airframe, I used fiberglass
arrow stock - usually about1/4 inch OD and just
the right ID for a 3/16th dia bolt.]
I hope nobody gets the idea of saving weight by
replacing phenolic blocks in the plans with arrow
stock as that would reduce the strength of the
attachment. The blocks are sized to reduce stress
to acceptable levels prior to transition into
cored material.
