Hi All,
I have used Superfil from day 1 and have no regrets. After the Superfil is
sanded and the part is finished I follow with 6 coats of smooth prime. (all
applied by roller) I sand after the 3rd and the last coat. Smooth prime
also sands easy. I finish sanding with 320 to 400 paper and I'm ready for
paint.
I'm now in the middle of painting my wings, winglets, flaps and ailerons
and I'm using Top gloss by poly fiber (waterborne polyurethane). If you
don't rush it, it will give you a great job and I can spray it in my
garage. For my 4P I estimate it will cost me about $2000.00 for the
Superfil, smooth prime and Top gloss. ($1000.00 of that is my Top gloss )
Not bad for a paint job.
Regards
