The latch strikers for the forward hinge canopy are, as we know, white delrin 
blocks bolted to black anodized aluminum plates, which are in turn bolted to 
the canopy rollover structure.  The rollover is a 2-core-2 structure in which 
we cut holes for the latches, and to which we bolt the aluminum plates.  
(Maybe 3-core-3 -- it's not important to this discussion)

The instructions, and the figure, and the blueprint, all seem to suggest that 
the bolts which attach the black aluminum plates to the rollover go straight 
through the core, by which I mean the core is not removed and replaced with 
flox or phenolic.

It seems odd to have the bolts (countersunk screws, actually) just going 
through the core.  I would have expected to core this out and fill it with 
flox, then drill the screw holes.  If I don't need to bother with flox, I 
won't, but it seems wrong.

I understand there's about 500 LNC2's flying by now.  I'll bet 499 of these 
have the forward hinge canopies.  Okay, guys and gals, what did YOU do here?
