You wrote about the problems riveting the rod ends onto the push tubes.
A method I found very handy was to fill the rod end with a micro mix even
with a little flox this stops the centre of the long rivets from bending in
the shank area, don't try to trim rivets to short as this will give you a
lot of problems also as will rivets to long. I use a small ball peine hammer
to work the rivet with the help of a friend to hold the push tube. I
personaly would not use pop rivets for this task.
