I'm not there yet but have spoken to a friend that has done his and is
flying now.
He made the mistake of building the tip cradles only and when he closed it
out with the weights the wing bend. Not much, but it did !!! lucky for him
he noticed it just before switching off the lights for the night and could
brace and jack the wing back up.
So to answer your question I think it can be done with only the tip cradle
as per plan, but do a complete dry run and check everything out. I plan on
using a couple of cradles simply because as it was said "its the wing that
fly, the rest is just along for the ride"
