I had an EAA tech counselor out and he looked the plane over and perform the inspection so that I could close the wings. (I learned just how bad I am at riveting....and I thought I did pretty good...;-( ). Anyway, he called me up today and left a message requesting that I build stub wing cradles and have them in place when I weigh the panel down. This is in addition to the wing tip cradles that I have in place. My question is: Are the additional stub wing cradles required during the bonding process? I can see some merit in having them, but would rather not. I pretty sure that the wings will hold the 650lbs of lead that I will weigh the panels down with. The only thing that I can find in the manuals is mention of wing tip cradles. I don't want to ignore what the tech counselor is asking me to do, but I would like to get some experienced builders advice also in case I decide to blow it off. I do plan on calling the factory to get Orrin's (or someone's) advice. Thanks much, Curtis Krouse N753K >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
